The latest addition to Caudalie’s Premier Cru line is the part oil, part serum ‘The Elixir’. It is designed to work with ‘Premier Cru The Cream’ to transform and restructure the skin, correcting dark spots, restoring density and smoothing wrinkles.
Premier Cru The Elixir’s formula combines a number of anti-ageing ingredients, including five plant oils. Sandalwood kernel oil is rich in fatty acid omega 7 (ximenynic acid) which smoothes irregularities on the skin’s surface and soothes dry skin. Jojoba oil, infused with padina pavonica algae extract, increases the ability of the extracellular matrix to retain moisture. Organic prickly pear oil, coriander oil and grape-seed oil add brightening, moisturising and repairing properties.
The formula also combines three patented Caudalie ingredients. Stabilized vine resveratrol is an anti-wrinkle and firming agent which restores the skin’s density; viniferine, an extract from grapevine, contains anti-dark spot properties; and grape-seed polyphenols are ultra-powerful anti-oxidants that protect the skin against free radicals, a leading cause of ageing.
